Since 1981, Rocky Cycle has been a staple in the Surrey community, known for quality bicycles and exceptional service.  They offer high-end mountain bikes from brands including Transition & Rocky Mountain, whilst also catering to the more risk averse rider through their gravel & hybrid collection.

The Challenge

Rocky Cycle, were interested in understanding how they could use digital marketing to further grow their online side of the business. They were seeking an marketing partner to improve their digital presence & positioning to capture more sales across Bikes, Parts, Accessories & Racks.

The Approach

  • SEOASIS met with Rocky Cycle to better understand their product & service offerings, current marketing channels used & the various types of buyers associated with the different offerings

  • Reviewed how the business was managing existing customers and attracting new ones

  • Segmented ‘Buyer Personas’ & discussed channel options to reach the different demographics

  • Reviewed Website & SEO performance & developed an action plan to help drive traffic to the site from outside their traditional markets of Surrey, Langley & Tsawwassen

The Results

  • On-going management of SEO/Website & SEM support

  • Widened local SEO to drive site traffic from across the Vancouver lower mainland 

  • Continually implementing keyword research to better match the site’s language with buyer search intent

  • Improved the website’s backlink profile & domain authority by disavowing spam links broadening the online presence of the shop
